Amy has served clients for over thirty (30) years primarily in the areas of Estate Planning and Trust and Estate Administration as well as various related fields. Prior to joining Cioffi Slezak Wildgrube P.C., she was a partner and shareholder of another prominent law firm in the area.
Amy enjoys meeting and counseling individuals and families relative to their estate planning goals. The various goals as stated by clients might include a smooth transition of assets at the time of death, planning for incapacity, preserving assets, gift and estate tax strategies or planning for special needs. She works with the clients to determine the most efficient and effective estate plan to achieve such goals.
Over her career, Amy has served on the Boards of several area not for profit organizations including Heritage Home for Women, Habitat for Humanity of Schenectady, Wizard’s Wardrobe and First Presbyterian Church of Albany. Participation in other community and professional organizations include serving on the Chamber of Commerce Board and on several committees of the Schenectady County bar association.
Amy was the recipient of the Schenectady County Bar Association Young Lawyer Award, New York State Bar Association’s Empire State Counsel Award for providing 50+ hours of free legal services in 2006 and Schenectady County Bar Association’s 2017 Lawyer in Service to the Community Award. She has received many acknowledgments from Habitat for Humanity for which she continues to provide pro bono services.
Amy received a Bachelor of Arts degree from State University of New York at Oneonta and a Juris Doctorate from Albany Law School.
Amy is married with three grown daughters and currently resides in Guilderland. Her interests include hiking, biking, reading, traveling and gardening.
