Lauren practices in the areas of estate planning and administration, special needs planning and guardianships, Medicaid planning, business law and real estate.
Lauren enjoys getting to know families and helping them navigate legal issues through effective communication and compassionate problem-solving with her clients. She feels strongly that it is important to provide her clients with easy-to-understand guidance and options so that families can make informed decisions when it comes to their legal matters.
After graduating from Albany Law School, Lauren was admitted to practice in New York and joined Cioffi • Slezak • Wildgrube P.C. as an Associate Attorney. Prior to joining the firm, Lauren gained experience working with clients and obtaining practical skills while interning at the New York State Office of the Attorney General’s Consumer Frauds Bureau in Brooklyn, as well as at the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG), a non-profit organization in Manhattan. Lauren graduated cum laude from Pace University, earning a B.A. in Business Management.
Currently, Lauren is an active member of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), where she serves as an Officer of the Young Lawyers Section. Lauren also serves on the NYSBA Elder Law and Special Needs Law Section’s Executive Committee, which meets quarterly across New York State to discuss important legislative developments, regulations and cases impacting her clients. Locally, Lauren is the Co-Chair of the Young Lawyers Committee and the Co-Chair of the Trusts, Estates, and Elder Law Committee of the Schenectady County Bar Association. She is also a member of the Capital District Women’s Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
As a lifelong resident of the Capital District, Lauren is committed to our region and its residents. Currently, Lauren serves on the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for Ellis Medicine. Lauren resides in Niskayuna, where she grew up, with her spouse, Patrick, and daughter, Margot. She enjoys playing soccer, running, baking, and spending time with her family.
