Lauren Participates in NYSBA Panel

 In News

Lauren recently participated in a panel organized by the Young Professionals Network for law.com where NYSBA President Hank Greenberg met with lawyers to discuss young lawyers in NYSBA and how to better support them.

The panel’s focus was to create greater accessibility to meetings and committees for young lawyers. They are working on a “virtual bar center” and are in the process of redesigning the NYSBA website to help in this effort. The re-imagining of the website and its meetings is important for the young lawyers today, who are challenged to get out of the office when there are a high number of billable hours to hit every year.

Lauren, the NYSBA Young Lawyers Section Chair, recently helped create change for aspiring young lawyers state-wide, when she and the NYSBA Young Lawyers Section spearheaded the campaign to remove mental health-based questions from the New York State Bar Exam. This was recently approved and New York now becomes the 11th state to remove these types of questions.

We are looking forward to seeing the new changes NYSBA implements to help not just young lawyers, but all lawyers throughout the state. Thank you, Lauren, for all of your hard work!
