CSW celebrated Cinco de Mayo this year with a fun spread of chips and dip!
Did you know that contrary to popular belief, Cinco de Mayo is not Mexican independence day? Instead, the holiday commemorates Mexico’s victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War on May 5th, 1862.
Cinco de Mayo is not a major holiday in Mexico, and is generally only recognized in the state of Puebla. In the US, the day has evolved to be a celebration of Mexican culture.
