Celebrating Juneteenth

CSW is closed today in observance of Juneteenth, the day that news of the emancipation of slaves was delivered in Galveston, Texas, one of the last places to get the news; and therefore, one of the last places that slaves were emancipated. Governor Cuomo has declared today a State holiday, and we will be closed in observation of that holiday and as a day to reflect on the emancipation of slaves and the and the continued injustices faced by the Black community.
